When we truly believe that prayer can make a difference...we will pray!
Why do we pray? To live in Relationship with Father God. Can you imagine having a relationship with anyone on this earth and not talking to them, or wanting to spend time with them? To build Relationship we must value being with that other person. And so much more we need Time with the Lord. As we read the New Testament, we see Jesus praying often. He knew it was necessary to Pray. Jesus prayed in (Matthew 26:36) "Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and said unto the Disciples, Sit you here, while I go and pray yonder." (Matthew 14:24) "...He went up into a mountain apart to pray:..." (Mark 6:46) "And when He sent them away, He departed into a mountain to pray." Mark (14:32) "And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and He said to His Disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray." (Luke 6:12) "And it came to pass in those days, that He went out into a mountain to pray (John 17:9) "I pray for them:..." (Read John 17: 9-20) Jesus needed to pray, how much more do we need to pray?
How do we Pray? Follow Christ's example. We simply talk to God. That is it! Just talk to Father God. You might ask, "About what?" We can talk to Father God about any and everything. He wants to hear it all. What makes us happy, and what makes us sad. He wants to hear, "Thank You" for all the wonderful things He does in our lives. He want to hear, "I Trust You Lord", even when we do not understand His Ways. He loves for us to "Praise Him" as this is showing Him how much we love and appreciate all He does for us. Also, He wants us to bring every need to Him, no matter how great or how small.
